 6. Take an angled fluffy brush (or a domed fluffy brush that suits the size of your eyeshape) and buff and blend out the harsh edges. Bring the colour down to the outer third of the lower lashline.

7. Using a small flat rounded brush, dip it into the gold from the Maybelline palette and apply this on your lower lashline.

8. Use the white from the Jill Stuart palette and apply it as a highlighter to your brow bone and the area between your nose bridge and tear ducts.

 Image

9. With a pushliner, line the upper lash line with a dark brown shadow. You can also fill in your brows with this colour~

10. Complete the liner with a gel liner followed by a thin line of liquid liner as close to the lashline as possible!!

11. Curl and apply mascara ❤

12. Apply the falsies if you wish!

Image

13. As my usual, taking the bottom three colours of the shimmer cube, I apply it as contour to my cheek bones, jaw line and the outer areas of my face.

14. Then taking the white, I use it as a highlighter to the chin, cupid’s bow, c-zones and t-zone. ❤

15. Blush and contour the sides of the nose.

16. Apply a cute baby pink lipstick.

17. Finish the look with a bit of lip gloss~ !

Yohio’s (Jrock) Makeup Tutorial! [Photo Heavy]

Hi everyone! I’m back with a makeup look similar to that of Yohio’s. He’s a young and beautiful swedish singer who’s music is heavily influenced by Japanese culture. ❤ I’m not even kidding about how beautiful he is! Here’s a pic:

Image

His style might not be very conventional but he’s really quite an interesting person. I really liked his makeup (not the one in the photo but another will be shown in below) so i decided to copy it ish.

Image

Looks fun? Let’s go!!

Products used~

 Image

These are the brushes I’ve used. Now you don’t have to have the exact same ones, just anything similar in size or diameter will do : )! The tutorial below will show you when I use them. xx (I forgot to add the spoolie ><)

Image

Face Products: Gorgeous Base Perfect Liquid Foundation, Hera CC Cream in 01, Gorgeous Camouflage cover cream (concealer), Etude House Tight Shading Corset in #5, Tony Moly Shimmer Lover Cube in Brown and Pink Holic. Ahhh >< I forgot to add in my Smashbox face primer and Escada pink lipstick… sigh forgive me…

 Image

Eye Shadows: Gorgeous Essential Shades Palette, Maybelline Eye Color Pallet in BU-1, Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Black Magic

Image

Other Eye Products: Glameyes advant-garde crystal face jewels, Lancome mascara in Hypnose, DUO eyelash adhesive, Brow Specialist eyebrow mascara, Dollywink liquid liner, Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil in Hard 09, Stila smudgestick waterproof eyeliner in Stingray, MAC lash curler. I also forget to put my TooFaced Shadow Insurance eye primer and gluestick in ><

 STEPS!

Image

1. Apply your moisturiser and what not.

2. Use a spoolie and groom your brows in shape, following the directional lines in the pic on the bottom left.

3. Get some glue onto your fingers and secure the brows in place. We want to create those pointy brows xD.

Image

4. After the brows dry, apply the concealer over it. Most people who do this look would already have shaved brows. However you can probably tell, I have really thick and dark brows and I don’t want to shave them off so there is still brow visibility. Hence, I fixed the rest up in photoshop. But concealing the brows will already lessen a lot of the dark brow colour.

5. Get your primer and prime your face.

6. I wanted more coverage than usual and a slightly radiant look so I mixed together my CC cream and foundation.

7. And I applied this on my face with a beauty sponge.

Image

8. Spread the foundation following the directional guide in the photo above.

9. Now take the eyeshadow primer and apply this all over the lids, including the undereye area.

10. Take the pearly silverish white cream shadow from the Revlon palette and with your ring finger, apply this all over the first 3/4 of the lid (marked out areas)

Image

11. Now take the Maybelline palette and a flat medium sized shader brush. Dip it into the shimmery white and apply this over the area where you have just applied the cream shadow.

12. Take the bullet head brush and apply the same colour to your tearducts and first half of the bottom lashline.

Image

13. Take the fluffy blending brush and buff the matte black in circular and patting motions into your outer corner until you are satisfied with the amount.

Image

14. Then taking a thin blending brush, use window sweeping motions to bring the black into your crease.

15. Using the same brush and matte black, bring the colour down and connect it with the white.

Image

16. Now repeat the blending steps with the matte black with the shimmery black.

17. Take the black liner and line your eyes.

Image

18. Alright, time to take out a flat shaped liner brush called a pushliner. Dip this into your black eyeshadow and push it into your upper lashline. This will make your lashes look heaps fuller and really makes a difference!!!

19. Now get the liquid liner and sharpen your lines.

Image

20. Looking good. Now take the brow pencil and line out how you want the brows.

21. Fill in the brows with brow powder. And if it isn’t dark or strong enough, you can always use brow mascara as I did.

Image

Whoot… Look at them weirdo brows!!! LOL. As I said mine are really hard to cover since they’re dark and thick and I don’t want to shave them off…

22. No worries. Go back to the Maybelline palette and grab the white again. Use this to highlight your browbone.

23. Take the bottom 3 colours in the Tony Moly Brown as a contour.

Image

24. Contour like so with the guides. Also, contour the jawline if need be.

25. Take the Tony Moly pink holic and use the bottom three as the blush and the top two colours as the highlight.

26. Highlight your T-zone, C-zone, chin and cupid’s bow.

Image

27. Take the shading corset and a small fluffy blending brush to use as nose contouring. If you’ve got an asian piggy nose like me, contour according to my guidelines above. What you want to do is not only contour the bridge of your nose but also bring that into the areas right under your brows and bring it half way under your brows. This will make you look like you’ve got slightly deeper set eyes and make your nose appear longer. Finally the sides of your nose. This you will have to experiment because every nose shape is different. However doing this will cast a shadow beside the nose “flaps”(?! LOL) and make it look thinner.

28. Phew.. curl those lashes…curl them >: [

Image

29. And coat them in mascara.

30. Take out some scary(nah they beautiful LOL) lashes and apply them on.

31. And the key to the look! The face jewels! Apply these on with a tweezer.

Image

32. Almost done! Apply baby pink lipstick to the centre of your lips.

33. Gloss the lips up with a bit of pink lipgloss.

34. And put on a wig!!!

Thanks for staying with me for so long!

Hope you enjoyed it!

The long awaited Hera CC Cream FULL review!

What on earth is CC cream?!? Well it stands for complete care cream or colour control cream. It’s supposedly the improved version of BB cream… beauty blemish or beauty balm cream. Let me explain with why there’s two names. From what i’ve been snooping around on the internet i’ve noticed two different types of cc cream. There’s not an entire chunk of difference between the both except its form. The one i’m going to show and review on is the complete care cream. This one is the one with colour coverage as well as other skin benefits- such as spf protection from uv and ub rays and some sort of skin tone correction. The other one, colour correction cream, appears as a white cream that after application transforms accordingly to your skin colour. It’s more translucent than the latter so the coverage is lighter but supposedly even out your skin tones more. There are a couple out there but Rae Morris raves on about the Loreal one…which she’s been using like no tomorrow on the latest Loreal paris fashion walk…

So followed by Chanel’s attempt at cc cream, I’ve heard reviews saying that it enhances oiliness and dryness being that its acclaimed to be an oil free product. – perhaps wasn’t so popular for a lot of people with skin problems- especially those of combination skin. I unfortunately happen to be one of them so didn’t even bother trying. I went straight to trying the Hera one because I was looking for a BB cream alternative because my BB cream just doesn’t last all day… and I don’t like having foundation on my skin for 12 hours straight. It just feels so heavy!!!! Urgh and its gross and you feel gross at the end of the day!!!

Image

The Hera CC cream is also known as the “photoshop cream” as it claims to give you a flawless, airbrushy finish to your face after application. (As does any other product… LOL) It also claims to stick tightly to your face, doesn’t leave an oily finish, moisturises, makes your skin appear bit more bouncy and youthful (elasticity), covers flaws naturally, evens out uneven skintone and spf35+ protection. Sounds too good to be true yeah!? Yeah…

Picking the right shade:

The Hera CC cream comes in two shades- the 01 (The one I bought) and the 02. The 01 is slightly pinker, and slightly fairer in tone while the 02 is a little bit more yellow. I have some slighter pink patches over my face so hence i’m using the 01. And if you’re a little darker than fair and have a warmer yellow tone to your face then perhaps the 02 is better for you~

Lasting and oiliness results:

Anyway I put it to the test over a period of time to see what would happen. I’ve used it in photoshoots, my own face, model’s faces, applied it with mixing it with other products! Overall I quite like it and I think i’ll be repurchasing it. I usually like applying the product on with a beauty sponge. And yes, I think the product covers my pores quite well without clogging them up. It does actually make me look like i’ve got flawless skin- minus the few bumps or scars that i’ve already got- so those i had to go and cover with concealer.

I was using the skin79 Super Blemish Balm from the VIP Gold Collection prior and my skin was breaking out. It didn’t use to do this but perhaps it’s because my face is quite the combination skin and quite reactive to seasonal and lifestyle changes it just needed something- better. When I first used the CC cream what I noticed that it was the tiniest thicker in consistency than the BB cream. It wasn’t as oily or shiny- which is what I liked because I have the oiliest T-zone EVER EVER! The CC cream definitely lasted longer than the BB cream although I still couldn’t escape applying a little bit of powder to make sure it would set for the day. It lasted about…. 6-8 hours or so in moderate 23-25 degree heat outdoors and it didn’t slip around my face much. Something like that. Whereas any of my bb creams would start showing signs of wearing off after about 3 hrs…sigh

Colour Correcting results:

Seeing that i’ve been using it over some time I think my face has actually cleared up a bit more and the tonality across my face has indeed gotten better. Whereas during the time I was using BB cream… my face still had its on n off weeks. It’s been more consistent now. My pinky patches on the sides of my face have evened out a little bit. So i guess that’s a good thing~ And mind you, I have a pretty terrible sleeping and eating patterns.

How it looks on skin and experimentation:

Another thing I liked about the CC cream is the fact that after application if leaves your skin looking hydrated and ‘glowier’ but not oilier :D!!! My T-zone still oils up after about 5 hours but definitely lasted much longer than the BB cream. So I’m not complaining.

Now for experimentation. I’ve been mixing this product with my Gorgeous foundation for photoshoots with models lately and the photographer I’m usually working with is totally impressed with the slight glow and radiance it’s have on the model’s face. Using this combo means i’m using less foundation so i’m getting a fresher and more natural look on the models. (Which is totally the in thing right now. As you would notice on runways models are really hitting it up with the fresh dewy face kinda look) When I used to use straight foundation, without photoshop the models looked evidently more tired and the application of makeup was absolutely more obvious.

I’ve also tried mixing it with my It’s Skin VC correcting serum. I think this is probably my favourite combo. Using the serum means i’m using even less CC cream= less makeup! YAY! Its hard for a girl to really go from using a whole stack of makeup to using a bare minimum. I’ve been trying to use less makeup nowadays for when I go out casually so I can keep my skin youthful and I guess this has been my most effective combo yet. The serum helps brighten up my skin a lot and keeps it moisturised without it being oily and the CC cream covers up any blemishes ever so slightly so I still look true to my own skin but not too tired and not too fake. 🙂 *claps*

Finally, I’ve also mixed this stuff with both the VC Serum and the Holika Holika aqua petit Jelly BB cream. I don’t know why I did this, but it’s a pretty good combo too. My face feels super hydrated, and I have a really dewy looking skin. So if that’s what you’re going for for that day, go for it. Wouldn’t recommend it for a hot summer’s day though because you might end up looking a bit too glossed up for it LOL!

Below are some before and after application swatches of the 01 shade on my ugly rough hands:

Image

Image

Final remarks:

So I really do like this product and as I said I’m thinking or repurchasing it. The result looks really natural. The Hera CC cream smelt pretty good and reminded me of the Christian Dior foundation range- not too strong but a very nice clean and fresh smell. It’s not full coverage but its enough to leave you happy about it because it brightens up your skin tone and doesn’t feel cakey or leave you looking fake. I like how it makes your face glow slightly without it being oily and I really don’t complain about its lifetime on the face. The only thing i’m not too fond of is its price. It’s just.. SO PRICEY!!! T_T!!! I Also wish it came in more shades but perhaps that would be for further down the track in time!!!
I bought this from Koreadepart for about $44 AUD

Well that’s it! Hope you enjoyed it!

Kpop- 2NE1 Park Bom Inspi. Eye Makeup tutorial!

Hello everyone! How’s it going? Today I bought a sweater which reminded me of korean pop culture… and naturally I was wondering what sort of look would look super awesome- wearable but also out there! So I quickly browsed through my stash of makeup photos and found 2Ne1’s eye makeup… and really liked Bom’s super liner.

Image

I’ve tweaked the colour a bit for my look and went ahead with a Neon yellow to match my sweater :3 Below is the final look and in case you were wondering about my eyes later on and why they’re different colours, I edited the sauce out of the browns with a teal hahah~

Image

So let’s get started~

Image

1. As usual, start off with a nice’n’lovely clean face. Apply your moisturiser, primer, concealer and bb cream/ cc cream/ foundation. Make sure its slightly lighter than your skin colour…coz korean k-popstars have really pale skin! Today I used cc cream :] I’m still seeing if it will have any effect on my skin over the next few days so stay tuned for the review!

2. Prime the entire eyelids and under eye area!

3. Apply with a light hand, a matte white eye shadow over your entire lid.

4. Take a taupe and buff it into the hollows of your eye sockets and outer v. For people with a flat face shape like me or zero eye hollows this will really make a huge difference! It’ll define your eyes and give it more dimension!

Image

5. Moving on to the eyes, use a bit of scotch tape and tape it diagonally to how angled you want your super flick to be.

6. Start lining! First extend a gel liner with an angled brush to however long you want the liner to be.

7. From the tip of the liner, connect it with a straight line all the way down to your tearducts. Also~ Make a tip at your tearducts~ Remove the tape.

8. And line your whole water line~ then patch up the areas where you need to re-apply foundation etc.

Image

9. Because I actually didn’t think my gel liner was dark enough I went over with a crayon liner and then sharpened the edges with a liquid liner. What to do from now, take a coloured liquid liner (and if you don’t have one, a coloured eye liner or any really pigmented eyeshadow will do) dab a fine line right below the liner!

10. So.. you’ll end up with a little something like this after completing both sides. Clean up any messy bits with a Q-tip and liquid liner.

11. Bom has really big double eyelids so for this look I had to make mine bigger as well using eye glue. You can use tape if you wish but… I prefer glue 🙂 works better for my eyes~ Create a ‘pod’ like shape with the glue and let it dry.

12. And create your double eyelids!

Image

13. See the massive difference after the eyelid glue!??!?! KSJHDKH HUAHUAHAHAHAH. >: D

14. Almost done! Now, fill in your brows, curl lashes and mascara!

15. Contour and apply blush/ highlighting. *this is probably more important than the eyelids hahah. Contouring and highlighting make such a huge difference in doing your makeup. I’ve learnt to really make my flat nose look like a non-flat nose and to make my baby fat cheeks look a lot slimmer with this step :] Perhaps I should do a tutorial on that as well? Let me know!!! xD

16. Apply falsies and finish off with a baby pink lip! ❤

Image

Image

Haul arrived xD!

Whoohoo so i’ve been waiting~ and my stuff from korea depart has arrived!! Yay! The most exciting thing would be to try out the cc cream. YEP you read right. CC CREAM. I had a swatch of HERA’s cc cream it and it smelt like the Dior Forever foundation. (that’s a big plus for me coz it was my first love in foundations) Feels like a light bb cream and texture of a flawless foundation but better coverage than a bb cream! I fell in love right away! Yes, i like it more than boys.. JOKES. (wait don’t get the wrong impression of me plz. I’m not…LOL) ANYWAY-

Cc cream stands for complete care cream. It has more benefits than bb cream and has more coverage. It’s quite exciting to see that cosmetics are moving into being health products as well! whoot! Maybe eyeshadow will have a getting rid of your saggy eyeskin later on…LOL who knows. So i’ll review that after i’ve properly tried it!

ImageYayy denim shirt and a green skirt and NO i will not pair these together. hahah but the bag is really.. really cute…
