Beuberry Natural Hazel 16mm Lens Review~

Harro everyone~ my eye is a better now so today I decided to rock these korean lenses: Beuberry in Natural Hazel 16mm. The lenses were kindly provided by FashionEye My and I will link you to her page below if you want to purchase!

Image

As you can see, its 55% water content and 8.6 for base curve.

I probably have more cons than pros for these lenses. The main reason is because my eye slit/ face is actually really small. I kinda looked a little bit like “O_O” wearing these lenses because it left me with barely any eye white!!! So please keep those factors in mind. This review is only from my personal experience of these lens. I’ve read good reviews about these lenses but perhaps 16mm isn’t for me. I wish I could wear them all day long because they’re seriously pretty and natural >W<”

Pros: I really like the design and colour gradient of the lenses! It looks really natural and people don’t really notice that you’re wearing it. It also gives really good enlargement- and it makes you look really dolly and innocent too LOL. ❤ I really kinda liked the “O_O”-ness it gave me- unfortunately it dried up too fast for my liking. It’s pretty suitable for people with brown or black eyes but it would indeed look more unnatural on someone with blue or green eyes. These lenses would be perfect for the girl or guy who has a lot of eyewhite and want more coverage for those areas. – Or if you’re a cosplayer, and is looking for that massive dolly eye look. :)!

Cons: The lens felt a little bit thick for a 16mm. It was hard to get into my eye (well obviously because of its size) and it felt a tad dryer than most lenses i’ve used. But this has also been the same problem with other 16mm that i’ve tried. Due to the fact that my natural eye is about 14mm in diameter, I didn’t have all too much eyewhite to work with anyway >W< So these lenses made my eye dry up really fast and I had to take them out after about 4 hours.

So if you’re like me and don’t have all that much eyewhite to work with, 16mm for a all-day-out event is not for you. Stick with 14.5 or 15mm. But! If you’re a person with a large eye slit and much eyewhite then this does wonders for enlargement and its really pretty!!! xD I’d imagine the comfort level for you would be close to me wearing a geo Angel lens at 14.5mm. Fairly comfortable, but still will feel dry if you wear it for more than 6 hours~ So please keep your eyedrops! I really wish they made this in 15mm or 14.8!!!

Here below is a pic of the lenses followed by me wearing the lenses~

Image

Image

Would I wear it again? Yep. And I would wear them if I were to cosplay or be in a photoshoot~

Would I purchase it again? No because I’ll stay put with 15mm as my max~

Overall rating? 3.5/5 (including consideration for people with larger eye space. I still think 15mm is the most natural looking for everyone in general LOL)

Spring Look~ [Photo Heavy!]

How are we all today!? For today’s look I used the same palette as the previous cheesecake look. But this is a lot lighter in terms of liner and everything else. Although it’s autumn in Aussie land, I’m going away to spring and many of you who read this is probably in the middle of spring too! So I thought this would be appropriate.~

Products:

Image

Pic 1: Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream, Jaminkyung Crema Caracol (snail cream..LOL), Stila perfecting concealer in shade 27(i think… it’s really used ><), MAC blush in Supernova, Palgantong Makeup powder in original beige, Makeup Forever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette, Maybelline lipstick in 303, Tony Moly Shimmer Cube in Brown.

Pic 2: Ben Nye Grande Colour Palette (I used the gold yellow and pink), Lioele all in one gel liner in Choco Brown, Jill Stuart Palette in 09 mandarin citrine, MAC lash curler, Lancome mascara in Hypnose.

Steps!

Image

1. Apply cream and a base over clean skin.

2. Beacuase I have some breakouts and red patch on my cheek, I used my makeup forever palette and took the green to lightly correct my skin colour. (Green cancels out redness)

3. Using a damp sponge, pat on minimal concealer and BB cream. I’m using bb cream for this look to keep a fresh and non cakey look~ I also used concealer as an eyeprimer.

4. Lightly powder the face for a poreless face!

 Image

5. Taking a white eyeshadow, apply this all over the lid and bringing it up to the brow bone.

6. Taking a cream yellow, apply this to the inner thirds of your eyelid.

Image

 7. Taking a stronger gold-ish yellow, I apply this on the centre right over the yellow shadow from before and blend it out for a nice gradient of colour.

8. Now take a fluffy buff brush and smother that into the outer V and using a sweeping window motion blend it into your crease.

9. [sorry I didn’t get a photo for this step><] Use a bullet brush and take the hot pink and line it over the top lashline and outer third of the bottom lash line.

10. Line your eyes with a brown shadow followed with a brown gel liner. For the liner I simply followed the line of my eye and extended it out without winging it. I then joined the end tip in a straight line with my lower lashline. It’s a popular korean way of doing eyeliner. Use the remaining brown shadow to fill in your brows!

 Image

11. Contour and blush~

Image

12. Highlight on the nose bridge, c-zones, t-zone, forehead, cupids bow and chin. I applied a bit more this time because I wanted to look more dewy and shiny…LOL

13. Curl them lashes and apply mascara~

14. Finish off with a cute pink lipstick!

Image

Enjoy and take care~ xx

Flower fantasy makeup & IMP Box Photography

Hey guys! Cheers for uploading a bit of what i’ve been up to recently! I got to work on hair and makeup with my awesome buddy Jez @ IMP BOX Photography and one of my besties- Chiizu 🙂

The look was suggested by Jez after reviewing some of Yoshitaka Amano’s artwork. One of my favs!!! His art style had heavily influenced my style of art back in the day when I was drawing~ There’s a film he drew called the Angel’s Egg. A beautiful and really enchanting piece of art.The photo below is what we used as a base image to work off the shoot from. (Not from Angel’s Egg)

Image

Below is one of the many fantastic photos by Jez:

And following is one of my shots before the shoot.

Chanel 2013 Summer Haute Couture Inspired Makeup! [Photo Heavy]

Finally, a change of face! A friend of mine suggested me to do a look similar to that of the Chanel’s latest summer haute couture. Challenge accepted. Although I think I should’ve spent more time to model this look to be more finite but I leapt straight to doing the look when I was over at a close friend’s house. It’s been one of the more challenging looks that I’ve done but I had a lot of fun and quite a headache!!! Here’s what I came up with ^^:

Image

What I used:

Image

Image

Face: Lioele Secret HD Powder, Lace, Felt (create a natural organic design to go on the undereye area!), Etude House Shading Corset in #5, MAC blusher in Supernova, Smashbox photo finish primer, Tony Moly Shimmer cube in brown, Gorgeous base perfect liquid foundation in 1Y-BP, You also need your fav pair of lashes~

 Image

Eye shadows: Gorgeous essential shades palette, Jill Stuart palette in 09 Mandarin citrine.

Image

Other: TooFaced shadow insurance, Lancome mascara in Hypnose, HUB Makeup mascara in Superlash black, DUO eyelash adhesive, Stila waterproof eyeliner in Stingray, MAC lash curler.

STEPS!!!

Image

 1. Start off with a clean face. Apply your face primer and conceal any blemishes with a concealer brush.

2. Using a foundation brush, apply a matte foundation to the skin. We’re not going for a dewy look today because the look is very organic with a touch of dark and venetian element. [You may also decide to only apply the foundation on the eye area first and then apply foundation to the rest of the face after applying the eye makeup because it may get messy if you’re not used to the product you’re using ^~^]

3. Apply the eye primer all over the lids and the undereye area to secure the black shadows later.

 Image

4. [Now i’ve actually finished one side of the eyes before doing the other so you can see how I get the final result.] Using a cream liner, fill out the entire lid as shown.

5. Use a matte black, pat it over the cream base and repeat using a shimmery black. Blend out any harsh edges with a precision blending brush so it doesn’t get too messy.

6. Take the cream liner again and line your eyes. Bring the liner down to your bottom lashline thickly like so. Don’t worry if it’s messy, we’re going to blend it out right after!

 Image

7. So take a short flat shading brush and run the matte black shadow over the cream bottom line you just made and blend it out with the top shadow.

8. Next, use a clean bullet brush and apply it to the inner corner of your eyes.

9. Use the precision shadow again, with the TINIEST amount of shimmery black, blend out the white slightly.

 Image

10. Using a medium sized shader, apply a shimmery dark brown shadow to the eye sockets so that it softens the black.

11. Now for the fun/ trickier part. Take the lace design that you had prepared. Place the lace on the outer areas of the eye and take the matte shadow and apply it carefully over the lace to create the delicate design. Continue this step until you are satisfied with the amount of lace pattern on the face.

 Image

12. Afterwards, take the lovely design cutout that was prepared earlier and apply lashglue and paste it over the lace design. Make sure the lace design still peeps through!

 Image

13. Slim and bring out the cheek bones by contouring the hollows of your cheeks and jawline~

14. Apply a dusty rose blush.

15. Highlight the high points of your face. Nose, cheeks, chin, forehead.

16. Contour the nose!

Image

 17. Fill in the brows. Make sure they’re thick and defined.

18. Apply the falsies and a matte lip ❤

Here’s the final look:

 Image

Hope you guys enjoyed the look! A massive big shout out and thanks to my friend Chiizu for letting me photograph experiment on her face! xx

Dramatic liner makeup tutorial! <3 [Photo Heavy]

Hello hello!!! How are we all?! I put on my purple contacts today and I was a bit frustrated as to what makeup and what interesting look I can wear with it since purple doesn’t go with every colour… Something like that. This look turned out okay and it was a bit impromptu so I hope you guys will still enjoy and like it ^~^!

Let’s Go!

Brushes used:

Image

Image

Face Products: Tony Moly Shimmer Cubes in Brown and Pink Holic, Holika Holika Aqua Jelly BB cream, Palgantong Makeup powder in original beige, Mac blush in supernova, Etude House Shading Corset in #5, Maybelline lipstick in 303, TooFaced shadow insurance, Clio diamond rose HD base.

 Image

EyeShadows: Gorgeous Essential Shades Palette, Kate palette in PU-1, Maybelline hyper diamonds palette in BU-1.

Image

Other products: Mac lash curler, Lancome mascara in Hypnose, Majolica Majorca jewelling pencil in WT909, Dollywink liquid liner, Stila eyeliner in Stingray, <oops put the shadow insurance there again haha>, DUO eyelash adhesive.

STEPS!!!

Image

1. Apply base, BB cream and powder. You can add concealer to conceal any blemishes if need be 🙂

2. Apply the eye primer all over the lid and around the eyes as demonstrated by the guide lines.

3. Pick up the light purple with a flat shading brush.

 Image

4. Pop the light purple all over the lid.

5. Take the darker purple and pat this into the smaller area as shown in the guides.

5. Then get some dark purple with a fluffy blendy brush.

 Image

6. Pat this into your outer V and slowly blend outwards as shown above.

7. Use as smaller rounded tip shading brush and pick up the blue-ish colour.

8. Sweep it across the undereye.

9. Using the same brush, pick up the darker blue.

 Image

 10. Blend the colour into the outer 1/3 of the bottom lashline and bring the colour up to the upper outer 1/3 of the eye.

11. Pick up some more of the light purple and use it as a highlighter to your browbone 😀

 Image

 12. Use a bullet head brush and pick up the shimmery white to highlight the inner corners of your eyes.

13. Take a pushliner to pick up a matte black to line your upper waterline.

 Image

14. Using a creamy eyeliner, line your waterline. Don’t line out!

15. Now take a clean angled liner brush and drag out some of the cream liner to create a guide for your massive wing.

 Image

 16. Take a white pencil liner and mark out the bottom liner design : )

17. Line your lower waterline while you’ve got the pencil in your hand haha.

18. Finalise the eyeliner with a liquid liner. Line your top eyes and the lower lashline design. The lower part might be a bit tricky so have a Q-tip/ cotton bud ready at hand in case you make a mistake!

 Image

19. Take a brow brush or brow pencil or whatever you’ve got and fill in your brows!

20. Curl your lashes~

 Image

21. Apply mascara.

22. I took the bottom 3 shades of the Brown shimmer cube and used this to contour like shown.

Image

23. Apply your favourite blush! [Tip: for asians, using a rose coloured blusher looks really good with our skintone. It may look dark at first but it really won’t come out like as so! I used to be scared to use such a deep colour but using even just a small amount really makes a big difference. Much more than a baby pink ~~]

24. I highlighted my T-zone, C-zone and nose with the lightest colours on the Pink Holic shimmer cube.

25. And contoured my nose as shown on the photograph.

 Image

26. Put on your fav falsies and wig (if you need to)

27. And finish off with a light pink lipstick! ❤

Image

Finito!

Heres the look in final res. I did play around with the colors slightly on photoshop so the purple.. doesn’t really look purple, but I suppose the look could go with other colours too 😀

 Image

Hope you had fun reading/ doing this look :D!

Yohio’s (Jrock) Makeup Tutorial! [Photo Heavy]

Hi everyone! I’m back with a makeup look similar to that of Yohio’s. He’s a young and beautiful swedish singer who’s music is heavily influenced by Japanese culture. ❤ I’m not even kidding about how beautiful he is! Here’s a pic:

Image

His style might not be very conventional but he’s really quite an interesting person. I really liked his makeup (not the one in the photo but another will be shown in below) so i decided to copy it ish.

Image

Looks fun? Let’s go!!

Products used~

 Image

These are the brushes I’ve used. Now you don’t have to have the exact same ones, just anything similar in size or diameter will do : )! The tutorial below will show you when I use them. xx (I forgot to add the spoolie ><)

Image

Face Products: Gorgeous Base Perfect Liquid Foundation, Hera CC Cream in 01, Gorgeous Camouflage cover cream (concealer), Etude House Tight Shading Corset in #5, Tony Moly Shimmer Lover Cube in Brown and Pink Holic. Ahhh >< I forgot to add in my Smashbox face primer and Escada pink lipstick… sigh forgive me…

 Image

Eye Shadows: Gorgeous Essential Shades Palette, Maybelline Eye Color Pallet in BU-1, Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Black Magic

Image

Other Eye Products: Glameyes advant-garde crystal face jewels, Lancome mascara in Hypnose, DUO eyelash adhesive, Brow Specialist eyebrow mascara, Dollywink liquid liner, Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil in Hard 09, Stila smudgestick waterproof eyeliner in Stingray, MAC lash curler. I also forget to put my TooFaced Shadow Insurance eye primer and gluestick in ><

 STEPS!

Image

1. Apply your moisturiser and what not.

2. Use a spoolie and groom your brows in shape, following the directional lines in the pic on the bottom left.

3. Get some glue onto your fingers and secure the brows in place. We want to create those pointy brows xD.

Image

4. After the brows dry, apply the concealer over it. Most people who do this look would already have shaved brows. However you can probably tell, I have really thick and dark brows and I don’t want to shave them off so there is still brow visibility. Hence, I fixed the rest up in photoshop. But concealing the brows will already lessen a lot of the dark brow colour.

5. Get your primer and prime your face.

6. I wanted more coverage than usual and a slightly radiant look so I mixed together my CC cream and foundation.

7. And I applied this on my face with a beauty sponge.

Image

8. Spread the foundation following the directional guide in the photo above.

9. Now take the eyeshadow primer and apply this all over the lids, including the undereye area.

10. Take the pearly silverish white cream shadow from the Revlon palette and with your ring finger, apply this all over the first 3/4 of the lid (marked out areas)

Image

11. Now take the Maybelline palette and a flat medium sized shader brush. Dip it into the shimmery white and apply this over the area where you have just applied the cream shadow.

12. Take the bullet head brush and apply the same colour to your tearducts and first half of the bottom lashline.

Image

13. Take the fluffy blending brush and buff the matte black in circular and patting motions into your outer corner until you are satisfied with the amount.

Image

14. Then taking a thin blending brush, use window sweeping motions to bring the black into your crease.

15. Using the same brush and matte black, bring the colour down and connect it with the white.

Image

16. Now repeat the blending steps with the matte black with the shimmery black.

17. Take the black liner and line your eyes.

Image

18. Alright, time to take out a flat shaped liner brush called a pushliner. Dip this into your black eyeshadow and push it into your upper lashline. This will make your lashes look heaps fuller and really makes a difference!!!

19. Now get the liquid liner and sharpen your lines.

Image

20. Looking good. Now take the brow pencil and line out how you want the brows.

21. Fill in the brows with brow powder. And if it isn’t dark or strong enough, you can always use brow mascara as I did.

Image

Whoot… Look at them weirdo brows!!! LOL. As I said mine are really hard to cover since they’re dark and thick and I don’t want to shave them off…

22. No worries. Go back to the Maybelline palette and grab the white again. Use this to highlight your browbone.

23. Take the bottom 3 colours in the Tony Moly Brown as a contour.

Image

24. Contour like so with the guides. Also, contour the jawline if need be.

25. Take the Tony Moly pink holic and use the bottom three as the blush and the top two colours as the highlight.

26. Highlight your T-zone, C-zone, chin and cupid’s bow.

Image

27. Take the shading corset and a small fluffy blending brush to use as nose contouring. If you’ve got an asian piggy nose like me, contour according to my guidelines above. What you want to do is not only contour the bridge of your nose but also bring that into the areas right under your brows and bring it half way under your brows. This will make you look like you’ve got slightly deeper set eyes and make your nose appear longer. Finally the sides of your nose. This you will have to experiment because every nose shape is different. However doing this will cast a shadow beside the nose “flaps”(?! LOL) and make it look thinner.

28. Phew.. curl those lashes…curl them >: [

Image

29. And coat them in mascara.

30. Take out some scary(nah they beautiful LOL) lashes and apply them on.

31. And the key to the look! The face jewels! Apply these on with a tweezer.

Image

32. Almost done! Apply baby pink lipstick to the centre of your lips.

33. Gloss the lips up with a bit of pink lipgloss.

34. And put on a wig!!!

Thanks for staying with me for so long!

Hope you enjoyed it!
